I am delighted to say that eco-artist Candide Turner Bridger will be exhibiting paintings made with local handmade paints in The Gallery Upstairs from 2 to 13 August. She is the artist who painted the sheep in my shop so I have a particular love of her work. She will also be hosting workshops on 3, 6, 8, 10 and 13 August teaching ink-making, visible mending (she ran the workshops here last December), Suminagashi (the art of Japanese paper marbling), Earth paint making and sheep painting using earth pigments.
