Jawoll Silk

Jawoll Silk is made from a blend of Tussah silk (20%), Corriedale wool (55%) and nylon (25%). Tussah silk is wild silk, obtained from the caterpillars or cocoons of free-living Japanese oak silk moths. The thread is a little stronger than mulberry silk. The wool comes from Patagonian Corriedale sheep, and only the finest part of the fleece is used, meaning that the wool feels soft and comfortable to wear. The finished yarn is highly resistant to pilling making this wool excellent for baby or toddler’s knits as well as socks.
